My latest blooms ... all four are 'Surprise Bulbs' ordered from Royal Colors, and I am really happy, because all four are really pleasant surprises. After reading Jan's post on Blossom Peacock, I just added it to my 'Must Buy' list for this coming season, but it seemed that RC could read my mind ... LOL!

CHOCOLATE CHERRY DREAMS is very attractive, I can see why you chose to work with that one. Both of its seedlings are pretty, each in their own way. I also like SALTY SKIPPER, and CARRICK WILDON has similar colors to Rita's WILD ONE that I've been admiring lately. Is that lantana in the background? My grandparents used to have some of it when I was very little, and I always thought of it as being very special because of how the flowers were actually a cluster of tiny flowers. I never notice it around here, so maybe it doesn't like growing in this zone. Seeing it brought a smile to my face. Casey

Laurie....actually, SI is more of a pale apricot color and RAT is pink...my camera just doesn't always capture the colors perfectly. I'll check my photos of SI and see if I've got another that shows the color more accurately. RAT is much larger than SI too, now PG is a dip and doesn't have the substance of the other two, but it's really been a bud builder for me. It was a bonus plant from Marietta's last year and this is it's first bloom season for me. I love them all....would hate to have to pick a fav...;) Rick....both EM and NMT are new for me. I planted them in the fall so this is their debut in my garden and so far I'm thrilled with them. I wasn't sure how NMT would perform being an Emmerich and a northern bred dl...but so far it's doing great. It should really do well for you in your zone...guess I could add it to your "list" if you'd like it....LOL Debra....ISOA is in it's first bloom season for me and the very first bloom was lighter, but most of the others have been dark. I'm really pleased with it so far. Ellie...DBD is one of my favs, but then I love most of Lambertson's dl's. Actually, I'm not having the bloom season I would like due to our crazy weather, of which you are experiencing also. The bud count is way down and lots of the blooms aren't as large as normal, but I'm thankful for the ones I have. :) Jean....I will be adding more dl's to my album all along if you'd like to bookmark it for later viewing. Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments. Im not sure what the noid is, it may be jeweled tiara, this is its first year blooming, so it may not be showing its true colors yet (bloom size, height). I know its not Big kiss, or scatterbrain. Diane my MJB is doing very well, nice and green and settling in to its place! Hoping for blooms next season, who knows it reblooms right, might even see some later this summer! That would be nice. Glad your HC is doing good, hope you enjoy it! -Jessica

Hello Karen, The first one is called Paung Yok its a Thi cutting that survived the long shipping process. Out of 5 cuttings only 2 survived I was happy to see that this was one of em.

Blossom Peacock is beautiful. The flowers are small, with well-behaved petals. I just love the white center on the red petals, as if there was a light source coming from the center.

For the last shipping schedule from RC last May 2009, most of my choice varietes were sold out, so I opted for the 'Surprise Amaryllis', the 3 unnamed bulbs in a wooden box package. And the outcome is really worth it! Giraffe is from the one free bulb promotion oferred by RC during Apr/May 2009.

Rocky Mountain Ryan, yes it is me that use the 100% hydroton for my Red NOID, Ragtime and Rock n Roll bulbs. Due to heavy wind,the Red NOID kept on tumbling out of the clay pot, so I replanted it back in potting soil + coarse sand mix. The other 2 bulbs are doing fine, probably becuase the roots have taken a good grip on the hydrotons.

David, one fine day, when the bulblets/bulbils are big enough we may trade them among ourselves!
