Thanks for the interest everyone. I have sent all the seed except the last 2 requests (I had to buy some more bubble envelopes). I hope that the first ones arrive tomorrow and surely by Saturday. For domestic requests I sent out 20 or so seed and for overseas I sent 30 or so. I hope that this makes it so everyone can have plenty of babies to play with in the future.

I sow mine in a very well drained, but rich soil such as 40% good potting mix and 60% grit. The seed should just be pressed in to the soil and not covered. This would be the same way you would sow Crinum seed if you are familiar with them. Keep them moist and hot and they germinate very fast. There is a chance some will have radicles by the time they arrive. These will go dormant for the winter and you can store them in a basement until the following spring with no water at all. Next spring put them outside and watch them grow....about that easy to be honest. They can be grown in full sun. Keep them watered well for the growing season. In South Africa they are often found in depressions which are moist from the seasonal rains. These are not found in the sides of hills in perfect drainage like some of the other bulbs from SA.
