Sure looks like a roma to me also. I didn't plant any roma's this year either but sure have a bunch of healthy roma's growing in my garden.

Very nice! :) My plants have flowers (just starting) and so my tomatoes will be a while....but I will sure eat my fill of tasty homegrown tomatoes when they do arrive. I planted 'celebrity', a thin skinned heirloom cherry tomato, and a small yellow pear-shaped tomato.

JMC- This plant wasn't a volunteer, it was one grown in a WS container, then transplanted into a cup, then into the ground. I found the list of tomato seeds I sowed in one large container, and Oxheart and Beefsteak were the only two tomatoes that would be pink/red at maturity. Maybe it's a small beefsteak?

GG - Thanks :) I'm sure you'll have plenty of tomatoes in a little while. I am growing yellow pear tomatoes as well. I am pretty excited about them ... such a neat shape. I haven't tried celebrity yet. You'll have to report on how they taste later in summer.

I'm seeing some Early Blight on the leaves of your Yellow Ruffled. You might want to remove the infected and discard to help prevent further spread.

Thanks for the info Vera. Unforunately, many of my tomato plants have leaves that look like that. I don't know if the record amounts of rain that have contributed or the fact I waited too long to plant out. I will try removing the leaves and spray with another round of neem oil. It's supposed to be a fungicide as well.

I googled Dragon's Tongue Bean, as I hadn't heard of them, and they are so cool looking! I'd like to see a picture of them when you harvest.

I saw them at the Philadelphia Flower Show this past year. I wanted something new and unique to grow. Well, I think I accomplished that.

Looks wonderful. And at the price of tomotoes this year, it's worth about $1 (well maybe not that much!). Well done!
"Sniffle", I just picked 3 HUGE hornworms off 3 of my plants that they totally destroyed. I tried to teach them to swim in the creek, but all they did was sink!

Etravia, sorry about the hornworms. That would make me furious. Hope you've got plenty more plants. It's definitely worth it to grow your own vegetables this year, with all the price increases.

Shasta, sorry I already ate my only ripe tomato. I would have saved a slice for you, had I known ;) I have a couple tiger tom and yellow pear beginning to ripen, but they weren't quite ready yet the last time I looked.
