Making it small enough to see on the monitor... If you use Firefox, there's a neat little extension you can download called ZoomImage. You can right-click on an image that's too large (or too small) and have it resize it to where it fits the screen. Or you can blow it up temporarily on your screen with one click so you can really look at details. It's absolutely wonderful.

I'm a step-grandmother, and I agree, Kacee: If Diana were alive, no one would call Camilla the grandmother. I guess there are two ways to become a step-grandmother. In my case, my daughter is the stepmother. My children had a step-grandmother (my stepmother) who was never anything less than a wonderful Grandma to them. They loved her dearly. As for Diana, we're all entitled to our opinions. I'm not into saints at all, so I'm glad she wasn't one. I thought she was wonderful. And very classy. Diana married Charles the same month she turned 20 years old. I can't blame her for getting in over her head. It was probably every English girl's dream to marry a prince. I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't make the best relationship decisions when I was 19 either. ;-)

Well, here is what I currently have. On the stair wall with the handrail are the 3 stepped pictures: my mother-in-law, my maternal grandmother in her wedding gown, my husband's uncle as a boy. On the opposite wall is the single picture of my paternal grandmother as a girl. In the hallway, to the left of the guest bedroom door are my maternal grandparents' childhood photos and a photo of them together as adults. To the right of the guestroom door is the unfinished arrangement (hubby decided to go to bed and asked me to please quit hammering till tomorrow): Hubby's maternal grandfather will be joined by hubby's maternal grandmother; below the maternal grandfather will be hubby's father, and below the maternal grandmother will be photo of hubby with his parents & siblings. To the right of them are my dad and, beneath him, my paternal grandparents; to the right of them are my paternal great-grandparents. On the opposite wall from them, between the guest bathroom and my office, are my mom & stepdad as children. Would you change anything? If so, why? (With the exception of my mom, my stepdad, and all but one of my husband's siblings, everyone in the pictures is deceased and, therefore, not likely to care overly much where their pictures are hung. I really don't think my mom & stepdad would particularly care, either, although my mom has impeccable taste in decorating, so I'd certainly want it to look nice. Hubby has been reluctant to give any input; he says he doesn't care and has left it to me. I have felt a little intimidated, as he did such a wonderful job with arranging all of them at the previous house, which is why I have asked for input here.)
