Maybe some kind of scale?

By any chance, did any insecticide get on the leaves? Any ohter type of chemical perhaps?

I get all kinds of little spots on my leaves from time to time. One year I had a plant that had a lot of spots on the leaves, but it pulled thru just fine.

Could be some chemical damage, a fungus, or even ozone damage. Either way, your plant will probably be just fine. Remember, bananas grow from an underground corm. Even if all your leaves die back, the plant has the ability to grow again.

Thanks for all the responses. We decided to wait a few weeks to see what will happen and the new leaves seems to be okay, but now there is something else wrong with it: the leaves are now wilting alot even though I water it almost everyday. Any help would be appreciated.

We decided to take another picture, and we took it on a rainy day so the wilting is a bit worse. The pic is'nt really good because of all the rain.

I didnt really see anything unusual, if it is very warm the leaves will fold over like that, you should see my 5 ft basjoo wilt much worse untill night comes and the temps cool

I would however move some of that mulch away from the base of the plant at least a couple of inches, when the mulch is right up against the plant it will invite rot.

We decided to wait a few more weeks and the condition of it is getting worse. Since the last post, there has been literally no growth and the spear leaf and the base of the trunk seems to be rotten. I applied some fungicide and will stop watering and see what happens.

A few days ago I removed the rot from the base until I found some white. Now, all thats left is a one inch corm. The center is hard and white so I think there is still hope.
