Hey fellas, the place is kinda dead, about half the hotels are still out of commision, but it is kinda nice because I have my fifteen year old daughter with me and I just dont feel like rolling around in the sand with college punks if ya catch my drift. These people are a different breed here, Dont get me wrong, I like some of them but the ones trying to sell me crap I can do without, I bought two muscle shirts (yea I need them my daughter calls em wife beaters...I refer to them as my child beaters..lol) I have been working out ;) but, I wanted xx-large and all they had were xl so I went to the next booth, got my xxl and went back to the room, the felt penned the other x on the shirt, I went back there the next day and ask them if they wanted me to kick all their butts at once or one at a time..all of a sudden, "no abla english" kiss my homesick butt...oh well, lesson number one,lol Tulum ruins was cool, hot as hades though, we were watching people swim (thongs??? yesir) and I notice a shark patroling the swimmers about 30 yards off shore, what a trip! about a six footer, i was wishing I had my snorkel and fins so I could check him out.
Xel-ha lagoon was cool, bikini capital of the world, all I really have to say about that place!!
Kudzu, I have been busy remodeling my bathroom and am pretty much done,havent messed with the yard at all, bathroom looks good though, I will post some picts as soon as I get back. Bought a hottub!!
Well, I am sitting here drinking a 16" tall foo foo, thinking about getting back to the rum and coke,maybe caronas, too many decisions, I will see you guys one the new site as well, thanks for the info...adious!!

I know Cancun is still somewhat beatup because of the hurricane, but it still sounds dang good. Just stay away from those timeshare sellers, no matter what they offer you. I also suggest, if you have time, to take a day trip on the ferry over to Isla Mujeres island, I've spent many weeks there, and love the much more laid back environment. However, I haven't been there for a while, and the storm may have whacked it, too. There are a lot of nice little restaurants (my kids still think Pizza Rolandi is the best they've ever had), and the waters at the SE end of the island (El Garrafon) have many wonderful fish if you snorkel.

WB!!!!! You been gone a long time, bud. We missed you. Come visit bambooinfo.web -- a lot of us bambooseros and bambooseras are chillin' there and talkin' boo.

Hey they called me highlander when I was there.. freaking annoying.. dont forget Chitza Izta, about 3-4 hr drive but worth it.. stay on main highway as I got lost driving back using a shortcut.. damn wasnt offered any prostitues when I was there but I stayed in Carmen.. I dont recommend the Cozemul trip as there is nothing there unless your diving..

Don't forget to look for 'boo in Cancun. Gotta be some guadua on the side of the road that sneaked up from Guatamala. You don't want your free-'boo detection skills to get rusty while you're sipping frooty drinks with colorful paper umbrellas.

LOL! sorry Kudzu, I made it back in one peace barely, I have been busy around the house and at work since I have been back, went to the driving range today, hit some balls, came home and tore into my hot tub, replace the pressure sensor switch, drained it out so I can clean it tomorrow, just got back from a poker game with my buddies....long dayy,lol.
The trip home was helll, my brother almsot missed our delayed plane in cancun, we had to flat out run to make our connecting flight in pheonix, then got a to watch a gal from Texas make an asss out of herself in Portland OR,lol. she was griping at that luggage lady because her luggage didnt make the plane (either did ours), it wasnt this galls fault be she was letting her have it calling her the most foulest language in the book, the greatest part was when the lady looked down and her luggage was sitting right there, I have fond memories of her walking briskly down the hall trying to stay one step farther than security,lol. I will take some pictures of my bathroom remodel and post them when I get a chance, like I said I havent touched the backyard, but the bug has hit me somewhat today, I am starting to plan.....(whats up with the friggin popups crossing the screen when you are trying to proof read your message?? bout as annoying as those mexican salesmen)

Sounds like you're making up for all that slothful behavior in Mexico by going into hyperdrive back home! Glad you survived the timeshare shark attacks. The popups are one of the reasons that the diehard bambuseros have migrated to the other pasture...

WB, you need a pop-up ad block thing. GardenWeb was bought by iVillage (Web for Gals Who Like To Shop and Talk About Lifestyle) which in turn is being bought by NBC. The upshot is Spike is history and the site is full of wacky animated ads and pop-ups that make us wish we had a joystick for a shooting gallery game.
