Stupid Question on Sweet Williams

I have been told they are biennials.

I see a similar variety at T&M (on sale for 1/2 price) which is 24" high, and flowers first-year from seed, and is noted as a Hardy Annual.

The ones I planted (see thread titled "Finally...pictures") are the cheapo-depot seeds- 10-cent packets from probably WM, and did NOT flower last year, so I am *assuming* that they are not the annual variety.

My question is...since the ones *I* have waited til season 2 to bloom, would it stand to reason that any re-seeders that grow would wait until 09 to bloom, as well as the next round of blooms for this plant? If they seed themselves this year, and come up next year, they will have one season to wait before blooming...

And the EXISTING plants, which just bloomed this season would not bloom again until 09 as well because they are likely biennials? Anyone else have these tall ones from the cheap rack?

Do I need to find some seeds and sow more of these NOW to get a show for next year?
