How much water is too much?

Hi everyone

I have a question concerning how much water will hippeastrums stand. During South Florida summers we often have weeks where it seems as if it will get rain almost every day. It is usually hot with temperatures in the upper 80Âs around then. The normal pattern is that along with hot daytime temperatures we get afternoon thunder storms. My plants are in 1 & 3 gallon pots with a soil mix of 1/3 top soil 1/3 sand & 1/3 peat moss. If I keep the plants very well fed will this amount of rainfall be a problem? My plants are growing beautifully now hence the need to step some of them up to three gallon pots after only a couple of months of growing. I would hate to lose them when the rainy season starts. Should I consider regular fungicide applications at that time or any other precautions?
