WOW!!! I enjoyed your tour. I will post, but have to learn how to do it first.
It has been so much cooler here than normal, we are just now getting some warmer days, but it has rained and rained. I'm STILL trying to get my jugs all planted, between rains, but I'm so excited to see them all bloom. I also wanted to say, again, thanks from this "newbie", you all have been so helpful and encouraging.
I have tried things I never would have because of this, and I'm a life convert.

Love the shapes of your garden beds (particularly that diamond shape with the tree in the center). Very nice! And you have a lot of containers there (WS or otherwise!!!) You're going to be one busy transplanter!

I have some of seeds of Nemesia and I didn't WS them. Now, seeing your picture, I'm wishing I had. Nice color, red and white.

Your astrantia has so many flower stems! I've been growing them for several years. I think maybe they
need more sun. Do you have any ideas?

Aw, shucks guys!! Thanks for the complements! You know it's one thing to have your family,neighbors and friends say "wow" or "you sure spend alot of time out there" or "your yard always looks so NICE" but it doesn't give me the same warm fuzzies that praise from you guys does!!

I took the chair from work, it was getting pitched. I wish it was taller though. In my last pic the astrantia are three years old and get mostly dappled shade. The soil here is very sandy and prone to dry out quickly. They are close to the sprinkler and with the creeping jenny,violets and hostas I think it stay pretty moist. I also added a top dressing of compost in the spring.

Theresa, that trellis looks very nice. What plants will be growing on it? Please post again later so we can see how they progress up the trellis. Pretty poppy and nemesia.

That's not a newbie's garden! Your choices show you are no newbie. Beautiful. May I suggest that you eradicate that little green and white plants in #9 & 10? They'll take over your garden if you let them grow. I am sure it's Bishop's Weed., right?

What a beautiful trellis. What do you have to grow on it? I like your flowers too. The first one does not look like my Sweet Woodruff. Mine has white flowers and the leaves are different. But I don't know what yours is. Would Rosemary have blue flowers, anyone?

BRANDYMULVAINE****I love your garden pics--very nice job. :) BUT!! I see that you have some variegated bishop's weed in there with your plants. I hope you are aware of what it is like.......just wanted to let you know that it is 'horrendous' to try and eradicate if you let it take much of a hold in your garden/yard (in case you didn't know) :)

My picture taking abilities are also a bit suspect. :) We have lots of dirt everywhere due to a recent foundation repair on the back of the house.

This is a front bed I made "lasagna style" last fall and am in the process of planting with perennials and annuals.

Here is the middle of the front bed. I have mgs, black-eyed susan vines, and hyacinth bean, which will grow up and over the fencing--I hope! There are holly hocks, cosmos, 4 o'clocks, nicotania, and marigolds, too.

I just want to thank everyone for all the help! I would have done much better but my company ended up sending me out of the country for two months. When I got back even though I had someone watching them they were simply FRIED :/

I had two survivors though the Mint and Sage (I bought the basil). Truly, truly, truly thanks to you all and I will most certainly have much better success next season!

I'm really impressed with my first year results, in spite of the blunders and fears and trepidations :)
The few days of good weather here we've had lately have made the biggest difference.
