Like Chaz, I posted a thank you to Ryan here but it did not show up. IT was while the site was having troubles to imagine it got caught in a "trouble bubble"! Ryan, the bulbs looked so great! Not a single problem with rot on any of my 15, and I am just delighted with them! I have mine all potted now, and am working on getting all my older bulbs moved outside for the summer. I am 1/3 done with that, not counting the seedlings. Big rush here to get everything planted before I head to ALaska on the cruise with my sis. Actually, going for a manicure on Tues so I better speed up the process! My sis and I will pretend to be ladies of leisure for a week! (Then come home to hours of weeding for the rest of the summer!) ANyhow, thanks, RYan for all your work on this and thanks to all the others who went in on this order so it was possible! NOw we wait to see what we got...oh my, can you imagine how exciting that will be!!!

Yes, it appears the Australians needed their rest period same as many other Hippis. Mine are awakening too, after sitting out in the sun most of the summer. One should bloom tomorrow along with a September Floris Hecker that decided to bloom again and I see some of the late winter bulbs that I bought that put up a scape, a couple of shabby leaves and then rested, are now sending up leaves and blooms. Started to dig up some Amaryllis belladonna bulbs that fizzled and found the bulbs solid and lots of good roots. Guess they have their own time schedule, too. A few of the summering outside amy bulbs are starting new growth again. The majority are quietly going to sleep now and beginning their resting period for their winter/spring blooms.

MaGuire's was a group order, because they only ship to the USA in large quantities... somewhere around 100 bulbs, I think. I'm not really sure. Phoenix Ryan would know... he sponsored the last order. I don't know whether or not they would ship just a few bulbs to Holland... but I'm sure you could find out by emailing them. They do have a lot of lovely varieties... the choice is a large one!
