Magic Green is making the scene, here she is just begining to open....

The colors in Magic Green are spot on to my Exotic Star. Exotic Star seems more intense since it's pin stripes are so closely spaced. Magic Green on the other hand has more spread out freckled red patterns. But the burgundy, green and yellow tones in each seem to come from the same artists palate.

I wonder if I can cross pollinate them??? If Magic Green opens any wider, I'll share some more pictures as long as the camera cooperates.

Handsome blooms there,Cindee I tried a MGxExotica and it failed. I impreesed with MG's scape color and bulb too. Seems to be a strong rebloomer for you also? Peace,Mark

Hey Mark, YES strong sturdy plant and bloomer is my Magic Green!! I had luck with Magic Green crossed with Striatum, Misty Trumpet,San Remo and Exotica. I still have some of the Exotica seeds if you would like. I will check my Amaryllis Nursery shelf on my potting bench and see if any of the Exotica cross seeds took.

Bought it, used it, never bought it again. Science (actual testing under controlled conditions) tells us there are certain things all plants require such as water, air and nutrients. This isn't up for debate, it is well established fact. Outside of the things we know plants to actually require is a wide world of things some plants may or may not benefit from. It is in this arena that scam marketers attempt to profit. If you do a google search on 'Dr. T.L. Senn' you will see that he is not at all shy about using his name and educational credentials to endorse anything and everything seaweed related as well as some unrelated stuff. All seaweed products are 'the bomb' according to his endorsements. Nevermind that the science in this area is sorely lacking, he has all the facts and anyone can buy his endorsement ;) Sorry, but I bought and used this product from either Johnny's or Burpee or somewhere else and saw absolutely nothing. The endorser of this product appears to endorse anything he is 'motivated' to endorse. Hold on tightly to your credit card :)

Try "lemishine". It is a granular powder that is added with the detergent - works great and solved my cloudy glasses problem when the dishwasher detergents changed. Prior to that I never added anything - afterwards I had issues. Lemishine to the rescue. I bought mine in Walmart.

Wowee Zowie!! What a beaut! The colors are a lesson in ancestry... Papilo comes shining through in each, a bit differently in each! I love it, Cindee!

Speaking of magic and green, I've got an Emerald lounging away under lights on my heating pad... no signs of growth so far... though the bulb is firm and alive. It must be growing its roots before anything else. I'm really dying to see it... but patience is a gardener's best friend, after all.

I already love Exotic Star, and now must add Magic Green to my list of bulbs I need to acquire! Next year's list is growing already!

It's getting prettier as it matures, Cindee! I can see I must add one to my collection next season!

It's so amazing that what opens to be so beautiful can actually go above and beyond as it slowly matures... I find that about one day after most blooms are fully open, they look their best. Magic Green looks better today, if that's possible!

Magic Green really is Magical! Such gorgeous colors, is it a new release? I haven't seen it before.

She is a very tall statuesque Amaryllis. Her height is just short of Exotic star. She is a stunning bloomer, I love her!
