Year 1 vs Year 2 PRE bloom shots..

As some of you know, I moved last year and had to create garden beds from scratch.. out of a wooded lot... From cutting down trees, removing rocks, adding truckloads of compost and horse manure and mulch and plants and then building a rock wall.. I have actually extended this bed around now as well, which is planted but no where near completed.

some before shots..

After the work has been done.. I cant wait till bloom time, Im definitely a late spring , early summer to mid summer garden here.. 80-85% of all my plants will bloom between late may to mid july, then a smattering of rebloom and then some late stuff... This area gets sun for about 7-10 hours depending on the spot.. by late afternoon its covered by dappled shade...

Front view.. most of my roses will bloom here in 3-4 weeks..
