It's a mulberry. The size, color, and taste depend on the individual tree. With wild mulberries there is an extreme amount of natural variation. The 4 different berries above are from 4 different wild trees and all of them all ripe. This photo was taken last year (they are almost getting ripe here now). I live in NE Baltimore and have 6 mulberry trees on my property (with both white and blue mulberries). Let me know if you're still interested and I will look around for some seedlings. We bought the house last year and still have so much yard work to do.
