BEFORE THEY WERE INDOORS FROM OCTOBER 2011 I DID NOT WATER CURRY LEAF PLANT UNTIL 5TH APRIL 2012 AS OF TODAY JUNE 6TH, NO LEAVES HV COME, NOT EVEN GREEN BUDS I HV CHANGED POTTING SOIL WITH FERTILIZER IN IT ABOUT 5 WEEKS AGO. NO RESULTS YET I WATER IT MIN. Comments (45)Derek, Always best to sick with full Latin names so you exactly know what plant you're getting. There are many different varieties of Helichrysum . I assume that what you are referring to is Helichrysum italicum. Technically - it is perfectly edible. It's just that it can be too easily assumed by those who don't know too much about cooking and spices that this is the origin of "curry" in curried dishes. It's more of an aromatic herb than a spice used to impart flavor. I would chalk it up to a learning experience and use it as garnish only....See MoreHelp: Curry leaf plant dying from top
Comments (1)Mine are doing pretty much the same - I have 2 that I bought from Logee's. I have no idea why they droop. I live in Chicago, and the plants are indoors much of the time, but I left them out on the balcony hoping that would help, with the fresh air etc, but there is no difference....See More- 13 years ago
