It's so nice to have you back! I have been pondering about sending you stuff as I know you have given birth and might not have time for them anymore. I'm sorry to hear about your baby's allergy. Em-em had to stay in the hospital for her first 3 months of life. Those times were really very hard as I almost lost her. She had Meningitis at 5 days old.

I still have Pax's seeds with me here to be sent to you besides my seeds. So are you ready for more responsibilities? LOL! Just inform us here if you are. It's amaryllis season here and we are will be harvesting LOTS of seeds...again!!!

I'm glad that they figured out you boy's allergies. Nothing can compare to a mother's feeling of helplessness about her child's pains.

So the package was opened? Well, I guess the 'teddy bear' might not reach you. I'll just be sending the seeds then if you are ready.

Yes, it was a very stressful time but we are all good now. 3 months in hospital! That must have been horrible, they kept me in after giving birth for an extra 5 days because Seth had lost more than 10% of his birth weight and I thought that was too long. I don't know who he looks like, sometimes he looks very asian, but sometimes he doesn't what do you think?

I am making time to get into the garden, I call it ME time!
I've only just floated Jodik's seeds, I hope they are still viable. Many of the seedlings that I started 2006 and 2007 have 4-5 leaves now and are doing well.

After months of neglect none of my bulbs have flowered so I'm enjoying everybody elses flowers.
So keep posting those pics!

Dizzy!!! I actually just asked about you only a week ago when I emailed Maria. Seth looks exactly like his father; he looks really adorable. ^^

I'm so happy to hear that you had a safe birth and things are starting to settle down for you there. Please do check back when you have time and let us know how everything is growing.

Dizzy! don't know how I missed your post yesterday! Welcome back, and boy is that Seth a looker!!! I see both of you in him. He's gonna be quite the handsome fellow when he's all grow'd up.
I'm so glad that the allergy was detected and he (and you all) can start enjoying life!

Dizzy!!! So good to see you posting again! How's motherhood?! Isn't it amazing?! Cherish every moment, no matter how frustrating it may seem... time passes so quickly! It seems like just yesterday my own children were little... and today, I'm grandmother to three!

I expected you to take some time off... babies take a huge amount of time and energy! But I'm glad to know that everything is ok. I was beginning to worry that you didn't get my package... I'm extremely happy it made it! It figures that customs opened it... I hope you received ALL the items I enclosed!

Seth is adorable! What a looker! He'll be fighting off the girls before you know it! I don't see a huge Asian influence in that photo, but I know it's there. Regardless, he's a beautiful baby! You're so lucky to have him! Congratulations to you and Daddy!

Eventually, you'll find time to get back into the bulb scene... and luckily, these bulbs can thrive on a little neglect!

I hope the seeds I sent are still viable... if you like, I could send more this season. I've got some Lemon Star seeds ripening as we speak, and I'm hoping for some from Carina and Clown. I've also got a Pink Diamond and a Jungle Bells yet to bloom, and I hope for seeds from those, too.

It's so good to hear from you all ( it's like catching up with old friends) Motherhood can be a bit lonely sometimes.

Jodik, your so right, we've spent so much time worrying about him it seems like we've missed his first 4 months. I look back on photos of him and can't believe how much he has grown.

I find that if I'm more organized with my time I can get outside while he's napping. I've been madly weeding these last few days and have uncovered many healthy bulbs (lots of leaves but no flowers) and lots of dead plants too. This has motivated me to 'get back into the bulb scene', as Jodik puts it.

I'd love any donations of seeds (especially cybisters) that people can spare. I have lots more room for bulbs now that so many of my other plants have died! It seems like the bulbs are the only ones that survived the neglect and drought.

I definely will make time to pop in and chat and enjoy all your lovely photos.

I'll save you a packet from each seed type I manage to harvest, and as soon as there's a break in the winter weather here, I'll ship you a care package! I'd be delighted to share!

We were up visiting the grandbabies over Christmas, and Caleb was crawling like a little crab, moving so fast you had to have quick reaction... two days after we got home, he was walking! We missed it by two days! They grow and change so incredibly fast... you turn around and you lose half a lifetime! It's crazy! I'm just glad I'm young enough to enjoy these little guys... my grandparents had all passed away by the time I was 3, and I never got to know any of them.

I just took the dogs out, and it's snowing... it's one of those quiet snows that you hope for on Christmas Eve... the world is still and slowly becoming blanketed in white... the moon is barely visible, but its quarter slice can still be seen shimmering through the clouds. I wish my camera could capture this lovely night scene. I hope I described it well enough, so you all can imagine what I just witnessed... it's beautiful!

Thats sounds amazing, I can just picture how quiet and peaceful that must be.
It's summer here at the moment, we haven't got to the scorching hot days yet but the days are still sunny and in the high 20's (degrees) So i'm making the most of this pleasant weather to do some gardening before it heats up!

Gosh... I could really go for some summer weather right now! We're very cold and windy, which means a wicked wind chill... I've got to keep the kennel faucet trickling at night so it doesn't freeze up and leave me with no water to clean with... winter is depressing and a pain in the rump!

Oh my goodness Dizzy! He is such a good mix. Very handsome boy you got there. I've always wanted a boy but was blessed with 4 girls. Hopefully I'll have a grandson someday.

Oh he is a beautiful boy. It's good you were able to figure out the dairy allergy, I have a friend who didn't figure this out for a year- scary when your baby isn't thriving. I'll try make cybister seeds for you. I have old ones but don't know that they'd be any good.

Thanks Salpal. We were stressing in the first few weeks when he wasn't putting on weight but alarms bells really went off when he started pooing blood!! That really got the hospital staff moving. Now he's nearly 7 kg at 5 1/2 months so he's back on track again.
