Steve, I have supports that have 3 flat sides, like a long triangular shape. It opens so that I can position 1 side against the plant, then the second, then the third. I use these in self-watering containers and it works very well. I imagine you could get them on even a relatively large plant.

Are you going to keep dwelling on this, and use it as some kind of amunition every time something doesn't go your way? You have been with this man for a year and that should have given you an opportunity to see him in many cituations. If you approve of him in other important matters--then forget about his young fling. If you are the kind of person that dwells on things till kingdom- come, maybe you should wait for a perfect man to come along. If something develops in regard to the mother and child in the future--handle it then. In the meantime, think about those things you can do something about--like working on your identity issues. Jealousy is very hard to get rid of. If you are inclined to get jealous, go for some counseling about it. I've seen jealousy ruin lives when it continues. Has this man in your life given you plenty of reassurence? If he has, then believe him.

Thanks JMT, I'm actually on two new medications for anxiety.... I'm a little calmer, I used to get super shaky everytime I thought about her but now I just get mad. I think the meds need upped a little but I'm just starting so it'll take time. No, I never expect that she'll ever be responsible. She talked about moving to Texas, I so wish she'd just go. Then she'd be completely responsible for transportatin. Right now our court order states that we have to drive my ss to a town just a tad over 2 hours away... that's with dh driving a bit fast. LOL! I'm guessing she'll be going to her old town for Thanksgiving, her new husband's family lives there, hers lives in our old town. (She could give two craps about her family) So I'm guessing she'll be wanting us to drive ss all the way to that town. It's a little further then the town we're supposed to take him to. She's always asked that we do that when she's gone there before.... BUT... we are usually on our way to either Michigan (it's on the way) or our old town... just a little out of the way. This year I think we are staying home.... so NO, I do NOT want to have to drive him all the way to that town. I think if we haven't gotten a dime between now and then we shouldn't have to.... since it's totally out of our pocket. BUT, dh won't tell her no. I've already pointed out these facts. I don't see her taking us to court since she's so far behind... and NOT exercising her regular parenting time, so I say we tell her if she wants him she comes to get him.... with no money that is. If she pays I'm fine with the transportation, I just know I won't have the money to make that drive without her support. I'm not sure if dh will call his caseworker. He's one of those that won't take the extra time to do much of anything. He'll usually tell me to make calls, but in this case they won't talk to me. Maybe I can sweet talk him into it if no support comes this week. We shall see. Just so you know.... I was uber frustrated last night about the whole gift thing and no support.... I was extra nice to ss all night. I didn't let him see it at all. (I was a little upset all night because of a dream I'd had that woke me up crying... and made me cry all day long, but he knew it was a bad dream)

Chloesmom I did the same thing on my dining room chairs, well almost, I read somewhere on some blog that this person didn't ever sand their painted furniture, just primed it and painted it. I didn't read closely that she used a different type of primer than I used. I also "forgot" that I had probably very recently used furniture polish on those wood chairs so not cleaning and sanding was a bad, bad idea. So as soon as I hit the chair on something the paint started peeling off. You can scrape it off with your fingernails. BoOOOO I had primed, painted, and glazed one of them it too before I realized on one of them. It was a lot of work. Now I have to start all over on the 3 I skipped a step on. On the bright side, pardon the pun, I love the pretty bright green color you chose. And you are lucky it's just pretty flat wood. We learn by our mistakes. Thanks for sharing I didn't know that about paint/primer in one. Now I know not to use it and I am painting a lot of furniture. Family is about to kill me. They just roll their eyes. That is until I showed my DH how much painted furniture costs new versus me using what we have. That usually shuts him up.
