Do seed pods need much light to grow?

Hi,

I self pollinated and cross pollinated some of my amaryllis, (thanks to the how to lesson from Lora.) Some started to grow a pod, then got light green , then yellow, then shriveled up. Others have nice big fat deep green pods. My question. When the flower dries up and you have a seed pod forming, does it need much room light? I have some near the window where they don't get direct sun, but bright indirect light. One on the kitchen table that is about 10 feet away from any window but the room has good light due to a huge picture window(10 'away) . Some on my bedroom dresser near a window, but others are in a corner of my( small) bedroom, which is much darker with low room light. How important is it for the seed pods to get much light to continue to grow? How much light do they need to stay healthy?

I don't want to mess up a good thing going.

Thanks Cheryl
