Thanks to Token

Just a few weeks ago, I was bemoaning the state of my "hotties"--toms, peppers and eggplants started inside. None were really doing well, especially the eggplants which fried overnight in tiny peat pots.

Desperate for anything, I WS'd the whole batch again outside PLUS started more cups inside--just to germinate.

I took one of the raised beds, added hoops and a piece of plastic, and moved all the "newbies" in there two weeks ago. Some hadn't even sprouted.

Today I can report that everything is not only up and sprouted, but working on second and third set of leaves. This is amazing to me. The new babaies have surpassed the inside ones in two weeks.

So... many thanks to Token for the hoophouse idea. Next year, I'm out from under lights altogether and just WSing these tenders. Then they'll move under hoophouse cover again.

If any of you folks have room to make one of these, go for it.
