Need Advice - Live oak plantings near alley

I recently planted some very young live oaks (Quercus virginiania) in my backyard, and rather than planting them in the middle of my yard, I planted them near my fence (approx 2-3 ft away) to give us plenty of room for activities in the yard. I'm concerned that I may not have chosen the best location given the size they may one day reach. There's another 3 feet of easement behind the fence to the alley (for about 6ft from trunk to alley). The distance to my neighbor's fence on the other side of the alley is about 20 ft. from my plantings. Code requires 14 ft. height clearance over the alley. I think they may turn out ok with some creative pruning, but I don't want to regret my decision in 10-15 years. Anyone have a similiar situation that turned out ok or any suggestions?

Thanks!
