Presumed virus in weeping yoshino cherry tree

I just picked up a weeping yoshino cherry tree ~ 6 feet in height. Once I got it home, I noted a number of leaves had a yellow mid leaf lightening bolt pattern which paralleled the end of the leaf, forming a "V" shape. In some the "V" is incomplete. It is present only on some leaves, but very consistent from leaf to leaf. I also noted some of the leaves were a bit smaller than others- not necessarily only the ones affected by the pattern. One branch has normal sized leaves. There is no evidence of other disease, and otherwise no leaf deformities. I presume this is some type of virus? If so, will it affect the health of the tree? It reminds me of mosaic virus in roses.
