Indoor Rock Garden/Alpine Plants

Okay, so this is my first post on GardenWeb, and my idea may seem far fetched, but it's worth a shot! First off, I love rock gardens and alpine plants. Last summer I had an amazing trip to the Rocky Mountains and instantly fell in love with the alpine tundra environment, and next summer I am going to Alaska so I will get an even better tundra experience. I would love to start a small indoor rock garden, if that is even possible. Problem is, I live in Florida. I'm a student at UCF in Orlando, where it gets very warm and humid. Is it possible to grow alpine plants in these conditions? I believe in the impossible, but some times it just doesn't work. If anyone has any information on this to share, that would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Kyle
