fran/littleonefb...your Tomatoes

I sowed my toms according to your directions in the "Tomato'es" thread, and I'm wondering if I missed one thing: do you secure that baggie at all?

I slipped the baggies over, and put them all in a 'tray' (ream paper box top), and while they stayed on just fine even in super-high winds, they did dry out SUPER quick. It's only been a few days, so I'm sure they are fine, so I watered them back in well, and left them sitting in the tray of shallow water (subsequently added a plastic tray under the box due to the 'duh' of cardboard vs. water, but left the boxtop in place because the sides were taller than my tray...helped to 'corral' them better)

Any-who...do I need some rubberbands, or duct tape? I sliced the baggie about an inch or so in each one for vents. Too big? Should I redo them with way smaller holes, or is this going to be the nature of this particular setup because of the shallowness of the dirt in there (1/2 filled as instructed).

Thanks for the help!
