only slightly OT: honeysuckle

We spent all afternoon Saturday getting rid of some pretty big honeysuckle in the back yard (and pulling the literally hundreds of babies that came up this year). Hate that stuff!!!

Anyway, I am looking at all the pieces lying there in the middle of the yard, and wondering two things.

First, would there be a problem with chipping the branches and using them for mulch (with the usual caveats about "green" mulch), since it's not in bloom / gone to seed? I will mulch a garden with WS babies, so that's why the post is only slightly OT...

Second, can I burn the larger branches in my woodstove? I think I remember that poison ivy smoke and maybe rhodo smoke is toxic, but I can't remember hearing anything about honeysuckle.

Thanks!

Deb
