starting seeds indoor

I have some questions.

Friday I planted seeds in a jiffy starter tray with a clear lid to hold in moisture. I have a grow light to use when they sprout. I was reading this board and read where some say it needs air movement to prevent damping off. I know to take the lids off once they sprout but how do you get air movement? I remember years ago trying this and they all did fine at first then fell over dead. I guess it was damping off/fungus? I don't want that to happen this year and so please give the details about air movement. I also know to water from the bottom.

I am so excited about spring coming and I just can't wait to get my hands dirty and smell the earth again!
