I'm doing the happy dance too. Two different kinds of dianthis and snocap daisies are sprouting. This is my second year of w-sowing. Last year I only did five or six jugs, this year I'm going on 200, will have to take another count tomorrow.

I've been waiting for you to post this!! Now I'm REALLY going to obsessively check my containers as we're not too far away from eachother!

Add me to the list. Have Cardinal Carnation, Hollyhock, and Red Lupine up.

On the flip side, DS 'cool' garden items (Lettuce, radish, chard, parsnip, turnip) have not shown up yet, and I fear they may have drowned last week. Will probably have to reseed. Bummer.

Haven't looked this am, nothing I could tell yesterday.

That's great, was wondering if that's the lupine I sent. I know it wasn't the gaillardia though, have tons of that and planted a few containers of it.

Interesting that you sowed the lupine on Mar 1. Mine was way further back than that.

Yep, it was your lupine! We still have patches of snow and it gets down to freezing at night still. I didn't think they'd come up that fast-I'm planning to do another container of them today.

Well that makes me feel kind of good whether I get any or not. I think mine will come along when they're ready. Most of all, I hope you get them through the rest of the way and that they come back, don't see any reason why they wouldn't if that MN place sells them (these came from Am Meadows, prob told you).

I think I'll go out and look at my containers lol. You know the proverbial watched pot. But never boils isn't necessarily true, it depends.

One juice jug of sprouts, forgot to label. But I can tell by the one sitting next to it cimicifuga and my log. The other lupines I sowed that day, Feb 11, are in 18 containers somewhere. And that's all I sowed that day.

Also saw one sprout in one of my flats with the jiffy cover, have Malva and Cherry Morello Lupine in cells in there, am guessing it's the Malva won't know for sure until I open it up.

I see some delphs are coming up in the garden but my row of tulips in the front is disappointing, over half are missing, doesn't make sense and been awhile since first ones poked up. That will be kind of disappointing if the rest don't come up, paid somebody to plant them for me, don't want to think what I'm thinking, I hate it when I think that way. Watched for awhile then went in the house.

I too have sprouts, Hollyhocks, Lupine and Chives. 5 jugs out of 38 have sprouted. My Lupine was put out in early Feb. they were part of my original sowing after a bunch I had done under lights all died. I can't believe how many people that I have discussed winter sowing with have never heard of it before. I have pictures of my containers stored on my phone just to prove to them that it is for real. Another benefit is using it to fight winter depression. I have seen the way.

Way to go, Brandy!! I'm so glad you are "spouting!" Mine seem to be at a standstill, but we have had REALLY cold weather, with rain yesterday and today.
Whatever it is in those clear pink drinking glasses is sprouting. Could this be the elusive verbascum!?
I left alot of stuff in containers last fall, never expecting it to survive the winter. Well, most of it did, and I am glad, really, but when I WSed all these containers, I planned on using THOSE containers to transplant them to. It's kind of like being knocked down with one hand and propped up with the other!
