What about Claire Austin?

While looking up white climbers, I stumbled across Clair Austin--she sounds wonderful. Does anyone know more about her from personal experience? I'd love to know how she grows in your garden.

Clair Austin was introduced in 2007, so info. might be limited still, but Austin describes her as an 8 ft climber with pale lemon buds which gradually open to form large, creamy-white globular, quartered blooms. She also has a strong fragrance, is hardy, has excellent repeat, and is "particularly healthy," Austin's way of saying disease-resistant. Sounds like a perfect rose to me.

I'm looking for a climber to grow around a pillar. It will get plenty of sun, including some western sun which, in my zone, gets rather hot in July and August.

Sooooo--should I take the plunge or not?

Kate

P.S. Sorry, Patrick, can't find any description of its prickles.
