Peas Not a Fall Crop, Why Not?

drippy

The ACES vegetable garden planting chart, which I use as my guide, does not list a fall planting date for peas (garden peas - I plant snow peas & snap peas). Why not? I would think peas would do fine in the fall; they do in other parts of the country. My spring peas have about had it; they're looking rather weary in this heat.

Anybody out there plant peas in the fall? I'm in zone 7B.

Thanks in advance,

Kim
