Question About Pat Austin

I read in a recent post that Pat Austin fried in the heat, even when placed in a shadier area. I have a PA just planted this spring. It was going along pretty well, for a first year rose, until the 100 degree heat hit in late August. Pat, along with some other roses, responded with fried, crisp leaves. Is this a trait of this rose? She is planted in pretty much full sun all day. I do water regularly - she is in a raised bed, good soil and has done well up until now. Should I move her to an area where she gets only sun up until noon? Thanks!
