That B.S. problem of rugosa hybrids.

In 1979 (pretty late in the appreciation of rugosas in the overall view of things) A.T. Bolton and F. Sverdja wrote a paper in Inventaire des maladies des plantes au Canada (59:38-40) titled "A new race of Diplocarpon rosae causing severe black spot of Rosa rugosa hybrids.

Perhaps someone with access to a Canadian library could get copies for some of us who are wondering at the spots on some of our OGRs.
