How deep was your soil? What kind of medium did you use? I'm sure your seeds will be fine as long as they did not germinate.

That happened to me too!! A few of the milk jugs that didn't line up very well got pretty dry. Nothing had germinated yet, I'm glad to hear they'll be OK,(thanks bakemom!!) I watered them and now its raining in the "ghetto" so no worries.-B

about 4 inches or so. i used regular potting mix. and i see absolutely no sign of anything going on in my jugs so, hopefully, no germination yet.

I have been watering mine. It has been getting warm and we have had quite a bit of wind. The wind can really dry out things.

I am getting worried that mine are TOO wet...we have been getting SO much rain..this weekend they actually started to dry out, and then we got hit with rain again today.

I have my fingers crossed, they should be ok, right ??

Hard to say. Mine have also been drenched by endless rain, day after day after day. Some seedlings started yellowing, so yesterday I moved them under roof. At least they didn't get today's hard rain.

Last week I found some that I had put in full sun dried out really fast like that. As soon as I noticed I watered them, moved them to dappled shade, and had sprouts in almost all of them in two days!

I usually have to water my containers in spring. Between really sunny days (off and on) and the wind, many of them will dry out if I don't water.

As long as the dried out containers haven't germinated, it doesn't hurt anything. Just water and wait. They usually sprout at some point.

I had to do a lot of watering last year. I found that I didn't soak the soil enough before adding the seeds. I also have all my jugs on the north side. Last year i put them in the sunniest spot and everything came up a tad to early. I spent a lot of time outside watering and moving jugs. Hopefully not this year.

Re- too wet:
Make sure you have enough holes in the bottom, even the sides. What I do, if it rains for several days, I just throw a plastic tarp over them. I don't like them to sit in water too much.
and too dry- I noticed mine were drying out much quicker this year than usual. Then I realized it has been so windy this month, so I have had to water more frequently.
