Transplanting a mature rhodedendron in winter

There is a very old (35 yrs?) rhodie on the northwest corner of our house. It used to be well situated, but we had to have several trees removed last year, and now it is almost in full sun.

Due to my hectic work schedule, I did not have time to move the plant last Fall. We are now in the middle of an extended January thaw (temps in mid-50's in day, mid-30's at night) and I wonder if it is insane to try and move it now. The plant is about five feet high by four feet wide, and was really hurting last year because of all the sun. The thaw is supposed to last into next week.

Thank you, all.
