I think it is an amaranth, it has plumes like this one [picture linked to below].

but mine has red leaves, and is taller, not bushy. I W/S'ed the seeds from one in my neighbor's plot, and every one has come up, and I've got to find them homes, but I'd like to know what to call them. I *think* my neighbor said they are amaranth, but I haven't been able to find a pic exactly like the plants I have.

Any idea?
