Yes, but I have not had success raising the larvae. I am keeping Japanese marsh shrimps, and in nature the larvae drift out to brackish or even sea water where they mature. As they begin to grow they migrate back upstream to the freshwater habitat. Since I have not tried to switch the larvae from fresh to brackish they do not develope. I am planning to get a group of Crystal Red Shrimp soon. I beleive they will develope in totally freshwater environments. What kind do you keep? garbird

Hi Kay. I'm not too familiar with shrimp plants. It was so unusual in appearance, it was hard to tell if it was the same species at first. But after some research, I reckon it comes down to a 'difference' in varieties. I just found one called J. b. 'Mutant' at a nursery here in California that is the same or at least close to it.
