The Super Thrive, as zozzl says, is only a couple of drops to the gallon as it's powerful stuff. I use it once a month when the plants aren't blooming or due to start buds. The ST is for roots, not blooms. While I don't think it's a miracle worker, I personally think it helps a bit, especially for plants doing poorly. The Pro-Tekt is used at the rate of one-half teaspoon to the gallon, and I use that once a month. It makes for stronger plants. I grew up a Byzantine Catholic and crossed myself right to left, then married a Roman Catholic and cross myself left to right, so I'm entitled to cross myself either way. One would think I'd have glorious plants, but nooooo. As to getting to heaven...

I have used Superthrive on a unthrifity plant once and soaked bare root plants with it, but not as a routine fertilizer. It should not be a problem. Best to use a balanced product as I do not believe Super Thrive will have all the essential nutrients to give healthy growth. I started using Plant Pro Foliage Pro From others on this site. Rick

IMHO, after using it for a little while with cuttings, a dying red tip, front lawn and even in my compost tea: 1) They need a new ad campaign.....or at least stop hiring from the "Weekly World News" staff :) 2) It helps with cuttings some.....just don't expect miracles. 3) It doesn't do squat in any other situation and there is probably a cheaper alternative.....although why not just spen $10 every 3-4 years rather than look for an alternative. Personally, I can't help but wonder if the added attention to the dying plants helps more than the actual stuff in the bottle. I made really sure to include superthrive and since it was fun thinking I was doing something, it made me stick to a tighter schedule. I heard an Indian tale that if you have a backache, go find a certain type of stone and it will cure it. It's not the stone that cured your backache.....its the exercise and stretching (and taking your mind off of it) while you are looking that is the REAL cure. Again....before you blast me....this is all MY opinion.

Hi Tony, Thanks for coming in..appreciate this. I was going to spray tomorrow, now won't.. was so afraid the spray would ruin all the leaves, suppose to be three digits monday, not sure if what I have is white flys or garden gnats, never seen white flys. So many of them in the air, all over the leaves, frustrating WAs so afraid they would hurt my babies, these are in the ground, 7 of them doing well. These are the ones that had such problems in the heat, have all came back with gusto. Ok..now Question...I have thick coco hulls on the ground, not around the plants, put the hulls down a couple weeks ago for weed control, its a 10' x 10' area, might this be pulling the flies just heavy the last couple weeks?. so many of them! should I remove the hulls? thanks ..ohh.. did your pacific pearl bloom, did you get a multi-color one? hope.
