trees for sandy, often moist soils

We have just purchased a property and would like to establih a privacy hedge along the Main road. We are looking for something that is fast growing, has edible output (if possible) and thrives on sandy generally moist soil. The property is along a Main Road, below street level and has a creek on one side. I've researched extensviely and I think we really need to think outside the box here. Traditional privacy hedges don't seem appropriate or desirable. Help please???
