What trees would thrive in a peat bog?

I've asked here before about trees that can handle poor drainage. But I've just come to realize it isn't simply poor drainage, it was also originally a peat bog before becoming a farm (pasture only).

Land is ditched, but digging down finds layers of peat and silt. It never dries deeper than about 6". Water table might go down to 2 feet deep, but that's about it.

The soil is nitrogen defficient, and acidic.

Thriving trees are...

Trembling aspens

Thuja plicata/red cedar

Metasequoia and Taxodium

Red and Norway maples

Mountain ash
