Upright sedums...off the top of my head I have Sedum matrona Sedum Brilliant Sedum Autumn Joy Sedum Autumn Fire sedum autumn glory Sedum Neon Sedum Carl Sedum Iceberg Sedum Erythrostictum Mediovariegatum Sedum Stardust Sedum Frosty Morn Sedum Joyce Henderson Sedum Carmen And quite a few others ( check my have list ) I keep about 15-18 different sedums rooted in 4" pots all the time for trading, so these would be plants, unless you want a sedum I don't have rooted, and that would be cuttings. Hi Oldman I apologize for taking so long to reply, because I couldn't figure out why I put "Stephanotis" on my list. So when I got a chance to go outside today, I looked at my plant to see what's up with it....and that's when I remembered the "Stromanthe" plant nearby. I got those two names mixed up. Anyways, have you ever air-layered your Stephanotis? That's how I get the Stromanthe to root at the stems that produce little babies. They never rooted if I cut them off, but they do if they're stuck in the dirt while still attached to the mom. So I am going to try that with my Stephanotis this spring where I see little roots forming along the vines. (Although, I don't really need another stephanotis plant and the one I have is not likely to survive our cold winter cuz I'm not dragging it in again this year.) So sorry about putting the wrong name on here. But I do hope you'll have success and will write and tell us all about it. Susie

If you have a heat mat I would go ahead and start them. soil temperature is a key component of starting a cutting.

oyama pots are self-watering pots often used for African Violets. you can google to see what they look like - it's easier to understand ;). my set up resembles it ..somewhat. a pic is worth a 1000 words...;))) here's the simple plastic tumbler with perlite and some sphag on top to keep perlite moist on the surface, with yarn wick stuck in it - it grows untented now in west sun.and now i drop it into a 2nd cup without holes (water reservoir holding very small amt of water when the 1st cup is inside).when a plant is a thirsty one i give it more water, sometimes covering above the hole, so the perlite is flooded by half may be. this is in reality hydroponics. when i transplant into the mix later and still use the self-watering wick it becomes passive hydro (or sometimes people call it semi-hydro since plant roots are in the soil mix). that is how i can keep so many plants and have time to do many other things including travel. this way i can relax and do other things for a week or so - the plant has water, the perlite gets aerated periodically when the water level recedes. and i can see what's happening easily.
