Comments (5)It sounds like maybe you could just replace the switch with a 2 way one, where it would stay in the disengaged position once you put it there My Kubota came with a push buttion RIO override which blinks red when it's 'engaged' - It's become automatic for me now to push the switch as soon as I engage the blades or else the engine dies the first time I try to back up. The fact that I hit the switch automatically every time completely negates any 'benefit' of it, but having one on the dash still protects Kubota from ridiculous lawsuits I suppose . . . . they are what made all of us have to put up with these pain in the ass switches in the first place My opinion on the switches is that it's another attempt by the government (the courts actually) to try to legislate common sense - I've owned machines for 30+ years with no RIO 'safety' gear and never had a problem . . . . because I use a minimum of common sense if there's anyone but me in the yard when I'm mowing - I'm actually much more worried about the machine throwing a stone or something out of the chute than I am about backing over anyone Don...See MoreDeere 335 RIO Switch
Comments (2)Its a little hidden.Up front near the pedal assembly there is a small plate bolted to the frame rail. There is a normally closed switch on this plate that is contacted by a post on the rev. pedal arm when pressed. To test the switch unplud the switch and place a jumper between the terminals in the connector. If the RIO works again you need a new switch....See MoreJohn Deere F525 Front-End Mower
Comments (5)I own (3rd hand, I got it with 1400 hours for $600 after a recent dealership service job -oil, belt, blades) a JD F525 with about 1600 hours on it. It has operated very well for me, but has recently started leaking oil. It still runs very well. The worst thing about the mower is that the transmission and engine are one unit and that it is very expensive to have rebuilt. I spoke to my dealer and he indicated it would probably be several hundred dollars to find and fix the leak as the engine/transmission would have to be pulled to find the leak. I just top it off before I cut each week and let it leak. Another thing, it has a top speed of about 5mph fwd and 2.5 mph rev. Okay for me, as my ground is a little rough and I couldn't travel much faster without being beat to death. I changed the spindle bearing this year for the first time (ever for two spindles). The bearings are sealed and cannot be greased, but that is pretty good life for sealed bearings....See MoreJohn Deere L111 Riding Mower
Comments (8)Hi , Thanks very much for the suggestions. It did it again this weekend I replaced the fuel filter and the section of fuel line before the Fuel pump , that had my shut off valve inline. Also checked the Gas cap and found it was clogged. After these steps, it started right up and I was able to go through the property with no problem. See what happens next weekend. Things to note, I did not drain the gas and did not put in sea foam. So although , it had appeared these had something to do with it , it did not. ***NOTE*** I did notice that the fuel filter only has small amount in gas in it while it is running. Is this normal? Should it be full? If it happens again, Maybe I will throw in a fuel pump. How much do they normally go for? \Thanks again, Dennis...See MoreUser
