Begonia Rex Have Second Lives?

arbo_retum

I am a self confessed indoor plant killer. sigh. This year it was the begonia rex.All dried out like the desert.I put them outside in part shade, along with all the other indoor plants, in may or june;thought they were goners for sure. Much to my complete surprise, all but oneof the 6 has begun to show life. What the heck? Is this a known ability of begonias-if starved of water, do they go into dormancy but then have the ability to come back to life once watered?

what is your advice on how to treat them now? should I repot them but wait for the leaves to be full-grown instead of teeny tiny? fertilize?

and if i ever grow up to be a fully responsible gardening adult, how should i take care of them next winter?

is a small fan a good idea in the plant room? does it help prevent the fungus spots i have seen on begonias in the past?

much appreciate all your help,

mindy
