Fertilizing with Miracle Gro Liquafeed?
Comments (5)These sprayers are usually designed to adjust to whatever dilution you want. They don't need to be 'modified' as such, just calibrated for the lower concentration that you need. Now, I am not really sure about this but it seems to me that there is a greater need to worry about the concentration of chlorine in the mains water and the number of hose end chlorine filters showing up in greenhouse supply catalogs makes me think that maybe I am not alone in this concern. Instead of the hose end sprayer I would be looking into a hose end chlorine filter for the bulk of the watering and either using the old fashioned approach on fertilizer day (get up close and personal day) or accept chlorine only on the feeing days. Comments (2)Well, it's not that they don't like chemical fertilizers, it's that the mediterranean herbs, oregano, rosemary, sage and thyme like the soil leaner... their flavor will be better if they struggle some. The mountains cut off everything including satellite TV. The city is a ten mile drive around to the other side. Regular TV was 3 channels when I was there and I'm not sure it still runs with the new digital TV signals now. The kids enjoy the ATV's, snowmobiles & mountain bikes... lots of walking & hiking trails to use them on and the trails go right on up into Canada. They enjoy living there because each kid now has their own bedroom. There's a brook fed pond at the bottom where they can fish, gig frogs, etc. I left my aluminum row boat there and they use it, they ice skate on the pond in winter. When they came to visit I asked how they liked living there and they all excitedly related tales of doing this and that and how cool it was. Lou...See MoreFertilizer question.....miracle gro?

A guy I know grows tremendous trees says it really doesn't matter too much what you use as long as you follow package directions. He says that the flushing type watering we do removes the excess, unused portion. I tend to follow his advice, and have no problems to report. There are many specialty fertilizers and techniques out there that I think us novices need not worry about. ez...See Moremikeber
