what to do about bugs in compost?? HELP!!

Hi, I just started composting this spring and I have two plastic bins. I harvested my first load of compost a couple of weeks ago, and it was great!! But now I have maggot looking bugs (big and small) in my pile, I don't know what to do. I usually cover my kitchen scraps with brown material so I don't have this type of problems, but I don't know if this is normal or should I just stop putting kitchen scraps in the pile until they're gone? I only use vegie and fruit pieces, egg shells, coffee grounds, and pieces of stale bread as well as yard clippings and spent flowers, but nothing with grease or fat. Is this normal? What should I do??

Thanks for your help!!
