Mike, thanks for updating your Crocagator story. Perhaps you would dig back into your photo archives and post an earlier picture showing the creature full length for those not familiar with this amazing bit of humor. Catkim, I decided years ago to never post pictures on GW. I enjoy designing and creating 'out-of-the box'. It does not take long for others to lay claim to ownership. Some of our family members deal with this type of problem. I find bits of this and that at Good Will which are useful ideas and everyone seems to appreciate sophisticated fairy houses and scarecrows. Always included is an annual blossom that attracts butterflies, such as Tithonia which is covered with Swallowtail butterflies until late fall here. People really do like to stop, observe, learn and an added smile is always a plus. Mitch, that palm tree is a winner! Googly eyes, too! Thanks for the ideas. Happy New Year!

Just stick it in couple inches into the soil (Hopefully you don't have sharp object ,( like pieces of your broken wine glass !!) in it . Is it moist or not ? That is as simple as it gets. My aunt told these to me when I was a kid and I still remember them A young man saw a pirate at a diner counter. After some time, he got up his courage and went over and sat beside him. He asked the pirate if he was a real pirate and the pirate replied "Aye" and continued eating his lunch. The young man then asked politely how the pirate got his peg leg. The pirate replied " One time I was swinging between two ships and my leg got crushed. Then I had to have this wooden leg put on." After a few minutes, the youth asked the pirate how he got his hook. "well..." said the pirate, " I was fightin' this duel see, and the hand got clean cut off". Then they sat silently for some time. Finally the young man asked about his patch over his eye. "one day I was climbin' to th' crow's nest.....I looked up and a seagull pooped right in me eye!" the pirate said. "Oh come now!" said the youth in complete disbelief " Surely not!" Then said the pirate regretfully "well I only had the hook 2 weeks...." A nice young man was complaining to a friend that no girls ever noticed him on the beach. "oh that's easy to fix" the friend said, " just stick a potato in your swimsuit and walk around for a bit." The next day the young man returned to his friend's house in an angry mood. " I did just what you said but everywhere I went, girls just laughed at me!". Then the young man showed the friend how he put the potato in his swimsuit as directed. " No! No! No! cried the friend. " The potato goes in the front!"

Today, it was very windy and I went out in the kitchen garden to put one of the arches back in (which blew over) but it was one I moved a few weeks ago, so it was only part way in the ground. Anyway, I'm walking around, checking on the plants (as the winds were dying down a bit) and sure enough, here come my 'helpers' to see what I'm doing. The barn kitties (especially a few of them) love to walk around the kitchen garden with me. I think they believe it's their garden, but I can play it in, too...when I want to. They also seem to think the fairy garden was created just for them, so they'd have a shady place to sleep in the summer...but that's another story. So, we're walking around the garden, fixing the arch, checking on the plants, and finally I just started walking around, figuring out what I plan to move, in the spring. Then, I realize, two of the barn kitties are following me, even as I walk around in (seemingly endless) circles...and I swear, they're offering me the occasional opinion, too. The funny thing is...they're not there for food. I had fed them only a few minutes earlier. They just seem to like walking around the garden...and adding their two cents. I wouldn't be surprised if they take credit for the whole design. "Oh, we suggested the table in the center...and the arch looks so much better, since we had 'the girl' move it. Don't you love that purple clematis, on the arbor?" :)
