Beautiful indeed! And it will be again once the heat breaks. We're still wondering where the warm weather went. The forecast for today is 64 but I don't think its going to make it. It was still pretty cold, as in zip up your jacket, when I went for lunch. Yesterday was the coldest June day on record for parts of Oregon. The rest of us just tied the coldest day.

I think I know how you feel too..my garden was like a cool drink of water for someone very thirsty this spring..soothing and refreshing. Now we're in such a mean heat wave and plants are doing all they can to stay alive. Sigh.

WOW Jackie, that is just breathtakingly beautiful! Don't worry, they'll all look like this again in no time. At least the nights are cooler again. I suffered through the heat as well and am covered in heat rashes. Most of my roses seem to have gone through it all right, I just hope I'm not jinxing myself now by saying that.

erasmus, that blue plant is Baptisia, probably B. australis. I have a baptisia with my natives, now, but cannot wait to interplant it with my Aloha!

Lindy thank you. It cooled off to the 80s today and was so nice. It's too bad it was too late for the poor peonies and clematis. The weather has been nuts because last week before the 90s it was in the 50s and I had to wear a headband walking the dog. Crazy!

Linda thanks so much. That's Baptisia (just the plain australis). I love it and have it in four places in the garden. It's a great plant because even after it's done blooming the foliage is really nice. I hope you cool down soon.

Wendy thank you. That's awful about the heat rash. It was 90 in my house last friday night and I got a terrible headache from it.

Sue thanks bud! At least when it gets to this point in the year I don't notice the bunny damage like I did in the winter when nothing was up and I kept finding canes and branches chewed off. They've certainly got a smorgasbord! Cinderellie.. chortle chortle!

Jackie, your garden is beautiful as always. I've been awaiting anxiously to see some of your wonderful pictures and these are exceptional. I'm so sorry about the heat wave but I'm very familiar with these conditions and live with them for 3-4 months each year but we're so used to it.

I am constantly impressed with the beauty of my freinds' gardens which I see either here on the forum or when visiting. As I walk around my own community I see pleasant, attractive, andsometimes professionally planted gardens, but none of them have the beauty of the gardens I see here.

Really a wonderful garden, Jackie. I particularky love the way you have used metal with the garden, both in your fence and in your choice of ornaments.

Utterly gorgeous!!!! How do you keep Mlle. F. Kruger alive? Mine and Madame Scipion Cochet also didn't long survive after being taken out of the garage where my potted roses spend the winter. I do have Gloire de Dijon doing well but it is less tender and in the ground against and eastern wall.

Now Jackie how can I let you see my slum after that!

Your garden is very beautiful. I have a small prayer garden with an arbor and a rose garden in the center. Right now I just have dirt pathways through it. I like your brick edgers with the gravel in the center. Your roses are so pretty. I planted 30 this year. I can only hope they will be as pretty as yours. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
