Hi, I'm a long time old-rose aficionado and wanted to alert forumites to the Greater Lansing Rose Society Rose show. It's being held in room A149 Plant and Soil Sciences Building at Michigan State University this weekend June 14th and 15th.

Also at MSU is the Frank's Nursery and Crafts rose garden which includes a section of entirely OGRs. This includes some very unusual and rare varieties, planted and looked after by yours truly. I also may be giving away suckers from some of them as part of my bed thinning operation.

If you are in the Michigan area it's a great weekend to come out and see roses, especially Old Garden Roses, as there will be plenty in the show AND in the garden. And if you want to bring something to the show, the show doors open at 7am with judging starting around 10. We'd love to see some new OGRs and shrubs in the show. We are very welcoming to newcomers and would be happy to help.
