I saw some and other Big Sky varieties at Lowe's and can't get them out of my mind. My car will probably take me back there tomorrow, damit. The Big Skys in my garden are certainly not as big and strong as those. Must be the fertilizing at the nursery before they get delivered. Oh, well, I'm a sucker for Echs.

Oh, please don'twaste your money on anything from the Big Sky series! They look good the first season and don't come back the next or just peter out. Honestly, do some research here and you'll see what I mean. If you can get them really cheap, indulge your fantasy. Just don't spend big bucks or get your hopes up.

my pink poodle is gorgeous. Does anybody else's echs. droop badly after heavy rains? Just about all of mine are almost laying down i am assuming from the rain storms.

The big sky has some hit or misses. Some are nice ... for some people... and not for others. Read around a bunch before you buy though.

I came home from work earlier this afternoon and looked out the window, and there was a beautiful butterfly enjoying the Pink Poodle - made me smile and brightened my day. :0)

Any chance you got Echinacea 'Pink Double Delight'? I went on a garden walk today and saw it. It sounds like what you are describing. It was stunning! Anyone have any information or experience with it?

They are not the Pink Double Delight, not even close to looking like that.

I took another look at the plants yesterday, and some of the blooms do look similar to the true Pink Poodle - maybe they really *are* and will show their stuff after their established in the ground. Hope so. Eh, in any case I'm really enjoying them, so all is good. :0)

I thought I posted the problem with these last year. If you buy one of these, make sure it has flowers on it already.

These are not reproducing true when they propagate them. Many are just Double Decker plants. Others are single petals with no double blooms. One out of every 5 or so is the correct form. Terra Nova knows about this problem and hasn't issued a response to anyone I know who inquired about it. I personally sent them photos showing that they have a problem. They don't seem to care.

I know someone who sells these and he had to stop selling them because only a few had the correct bloom form. Terra Nova really needs to step up and take responsibility for this problem.
