Winter use prep

Just bought a 91-92 Lawn Boy yt-14 (though LB says it doesn't exist) 14hp Kohler Cmd with 42 in deck and Ford Snow Blower. Runs great! I've got a tiny yard so only plan to use it for blowing 100 ft driveway and the sidewalk for the block.

Oiled & greased blower parts according to manual. Replaced ALL belts. Has three 1-ft lengths of railroad rails bolted to rear for weights (nifty). Oil/Filter replaced this spring by previous owner (5-30sae).

Plan to: replace front tires (sidewall cracking), rear chains, get oil pan heater (unheated garage) and put "BatBolts" on battery cables for ease of removal (will store battery inside due to sub-freezing winter temps), check wheel bearings and lube if necessary. Whew!!!

Now for the questions: Any other suggestions for winter use preparation and ideas to make lift mechanism work easier (near hernia just installing unit). Thanks
