Holly Question

Hi, My name is Susan and I live in NC near Greensboro. I bought and planted a Foster Holly tree three years ago. It is a female , I know because when I bought it it had berries on it.

Since then, it has slowly deteriorated toa struggling looking tree with a verry little growth and no berries ever.

The leaves are very small and barely very few on the tree that tend to be at the top half of the branches.

I do not have a male in my yard, there are hollies next door on my neighbors property probably 100-200 ft away.

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem with it? It deffinitly looks like it is struggling. It gets full sun but it is in clay. I have better soil in other places in my yard so I can move it. If I have to move I assume I should wait till Fall, correct? Do I need a male in my yard to get berries?

Thank you,

Susan Berry
