Help picking my next mower: Deere or Cub Cadet?

I am looking to replace my John Deere L120 because I don't like the speed or cut of the mower. I have to cut about 1.5 acres of mostly flat yard with lots of trees. The L120 takes me 2-3 hours and leaves many skips. When I set out to explore my options I wanted stay under 3k and try to get a bagger if possible.

Here are the options I am considering:

1. Cub Cadet GT3100, 2006, 470 hrs, 44" deck, with bagger - $2700

2. Deere GT245, 2003, 250 hrs, 54" deck, no bagger - $2800

3. Deere X324, 2007, 30 hrs, 48" deck, no bagger - $3400

4. Deere X300R, 2009, new, 42" deck, special bagging system - $3500

I am leaning towards the Cub Cadet because the price is right and it seems well built. My only concern is the higher hours and Kohler engine with the Cub.

Let me know your thoughts. I have seen many good comments on the Deere models but none on the Cub Cadet.

Your insight is appreciated!

Adam
