Need advice again -- has anyone tried WSing Ixiolirion Pallasii - "Wild Blue Amaryllis"? Or is it only a spring sower?
TIA,KatieGW: katie88
Katie, ORGS shows this as "short lived seed", sow as soon as possible, and "Expose to fluctuating outdoor winter temperatures including freezing for 3 months. Gradually increase light and temperature in spring".
You've got a few things going in your favor of WSing these succesfully.
The word "Wild" is in the common name.
Looking this up shows that it's a native of Afghanstan--it's freezing cold there in the Winter.
It's hardy to zone 5.
