Comments (95)pnbrown, our observations and our belief tell us that all that happens about this planet which is home is done by God's hand, we need not any men who can feed us false doctrine on this matter. we don't need any of those sciences, for me it matters not that gravity is what is identified as holding us onto the planet so we down here don't drop off, it is God's work at work. yes the sciences are at the very least fake and possibly worse. like one person said how can we trust these climate change scientists to be making the right theory when we can little trust the medical sciences for our health. for us God delivers. God bless my friend len...See MoreAnyone Make A Forced-Air High-Heat Charcoal Grill?
Comments (4)Simpler, although I don't know if it would get hot enough for you, is to "play" with the regulator. If you can find a couple of old gas grill hoses at the dump to practice on, all the better. just knock off the seal on top of the regulator and take a look. Some have a nut on a stem, some are a bit more hidden. anyway, attach a handle from a ball valve to that stem and get propane flowing through it and by turning the handle you can greatly increase or decrease your fire. Any number of things can happen when doing this, of course. Probably number one for most folks is death. But, you also can get such a flow going that your propane tank freezes up. Or you can warp/melt the burners if they aren't of enough quality. I've seen the cast aluminum bottom of a cheap grill crack and sort of melt away. He kept going even after his burners had warped out, so ignoring unstable conditions is foolish. A cheap Wal Mart grill with a long hose to remove the tank from the burners and judicious use of the regulator valve gets me enough heat to do a steak like they do in proper steak houses. I keep a fire extinguisher on hand and am respectful of the heat I'm playing with, its probably more dangerous than a turkey fryer. (something I've never done, nor will I)...See MoreDoes anyone have Mirage Red Oak Charcoal in their home?
Comments (0)Does anyone have Mirage Red Oak Charcoal in their home? Do you like it? What are the undertones - brown red or brown grey? The Internet pictures are misleading. Are you happy with Mirage? Please post pictures if you can. I'm getting a sample board this week, but would love your feedback. Thanks!...See Moreshould I paint cabinets charcoal and use what for backsplash
Comments (15)Are you looking for a monochromatic gray charcoal look with no contrast? That seems to be the direction you're heading. Right now you're kitchen appears to be at war with itself. You've updated some things that are sleek and more modern - stainless farmhouse sink, appliances, updated door and drawer pulls. At the same time the upper chair rail, the wall art, and the light fixture are from another time and style. Definitely paint the cabinets but I think it should be something other than charcoal. When oak is painted, I personally like the texture of the grain showing through. Some people feel you need to fill the grain to get a smooth surface. I don't agree. Letting the texture show through has a BIG added benefit. If you're planning on painting yourself, it masks brush marks beautifully....See Moreblutranes
